About the role

Sales and operations team makes the business happen. They convert an intent to travel, to actual bookings and take care of supporting the customers through their journey as well. The team works closely with channel teams, product and analytics teams to ensure all inquiries are catered to with high quality and expert help. You would truly become an expert in the Travel Industry (Flights, Hotels, Activities, Local Sightseeing) in this role.

Responsibilities

Your focus would either be on sales or operations, though you could also be taking responsibility across sales and operations.

Sales: You would be handling customer leads and converting them into bookings.You would understand traveller requirements, and create suitable customized itinerararies and curated accomodation and activity options. You would become expert in one or more itnernational or domestic destinations. You would also be creating inspiring content and media to promote travel products.

Operations: You would work closely with the sales team. You would be responsible to identify and source the best rates from the suppliers, and also own ticketing and bookings related business operatons. You would take pricing decisions so that company offerings are competetive and viable.

Skills Required

  • Experience of working in travel industry in ops role.
  • Experience of working on CRM, excel/google docs, and in a metric-driven environment.
  • Good written English communication skills. For sales role, spoken English communication is also required.
  • Experience with using GDS (Amadeus/Saber etc.), Hotel channel managers, B2B supplier portals, Bed Banks or DMCs.
  • Good at getting stuff done, organized, and accountable

Preferred but not necessary skills

  • IATA Certification
  • GDS certification (Amadeus/Saber/Galileo)
  • Holiday Sales Experience
  • Experience working in an online travel company
