Finance and Accounting Associate

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Finance & Accounting Associate to support our financial operations. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with month-end close processes, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accounting & Bookkeeping:
  • Record day-to-day financial transactions in the accounting system (e.g., invoices, expenses, bank transactions)
  • Reconcile bank statements and other accounts
  • Assist with accounts payable and receivable processes
  • Prepare and process payroll
  • Maintain organized and accurate financial documentation
• Month-End Close:
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statement)
  • Perform account reconciliations and analysis
  • Assist with the preparation of various reports for management
• Compliance & Reporting:
  • Ensure compliance with Indian accounting standards (Ind AS) and tax regulations
  • Assist with tax filings (GST, TDS, etc.)
  • Prepare reports for statutory audits
• Additional Duties:
  • Support the finance team with ad-hoc projects and analysis as needed
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Experience: 2-4 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a startup environment
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of Indian accounting standards (Ind AS) and tax regulations
• Software: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally) and Microsoft Excel
• Skills: Excellent attention to detail, strong analytical skills, ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Attributes: Proactive, organized, adaptable, and eager to learn

Nice to Have:

• Experience with financial planning and analysis (FP&A)
• Familiarity with B2C Business metrics and reporting
• Working knowledge of inventory accounting
